The Culver Union Township Fire Department is pleased to announce that they will be holding a public open house on Monday, October 26th at 6:00 p.m. at the Culver Fire Station, 508 Lakeshore Drive.
The event will officially bring the recently delivered aerial truck into service for the department following extensive training for their volunteers, and will serve as an opportunity for the department to recognize the generous support of the 166 individuals, families, and organizations who donated funds towards the purchase of the vehicle, helping them raise over $240,000! According to Jonathan Leist, town manager, “The true strength of our community is when we are able to work together across our individual tribes to achieve a common goal.
On behalf of the town, township, and the fire department, we are all continually amazed by the generosity of our community and we thank you all for your support.”
