Dee

With her family near her side, Deloris J. Kelley, 71, moved to her heavenly home to meet her Savior, in the early morning of Sunday, January 26, 2020.

Born in Argos, Indiana on March 18, 1948, Dee was the daughter of H.W. and Nellie E. (Carpenter) Hunter. She graduated from Plymouth High School with the class of 1966. She then went on to attain her Bachelor of Music Degree from Indiana University, her Human Resources Degree from Bethel College and her Masters and Doctorate in Theology from Andersonville Theological Seminary.

In South Bend, Indiana in December of 1973, Dee married the love of her life and  best friend, Walter E. Kelley.  Together they spent most of their time serving others in need.

Before retirement, Dee worked as the Vice President of Human Resources at Patrick Industries Inc. in Elkhart, Indiana.

Dee was an educator at heart. She was kind and soft-spoken, and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. She is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Heavenly Father.

She is survived by her loving husband, Walt, of Plymouth; her mother, Nellie Hunter of Plymouth; brother, Hurshel (Kim) Hunter of Plymouth and Mark Hunter of Kenya, Africa. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters-in-law: Mariam Wagenknecht of Rochester, James (Susan) Kelley, Sheila (Larry) Shivers of Argos, Richard (Marcia) Kelley, Janet (James) Saunders of Plymouth and Sandra Copas of Plymouth, as well as, several nieces and nephews who adored her.

Dee we will say goodbye until we see you again.  We love you and miss you so much.

Dee was laid to rest in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Argos.
