On Thursday, September 24th Officer Finn with the Plymouth Police Department initiated a traffic stop shortly after 6:00 P.M. near the intersection of North Michigan Street and Shalley Drive. The driver of the vehicle identified as 28 year old, Thomas E. Davidson of Donaldson. Davidson was found to be Driving While Suspended with Prior charges and had three active warrants through Marshall County for Failure to Appear. Davidson was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on a $505 bond for Driving While Suspended and held without bond for the Failure to Appear Warrants.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
