arrested_handcuffsOn Wednesday, January 8th at approximately 6:20 P.M.   Officer Arnold with the Plymouth Police Department attempted to conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Pilgrim Lane and Western Avenue.

The driver later identified as 34 year old Timothy Zick of Plymouth failed to yield and continued to drive. Mr. Zick eventually stopped the vehicle and was taken into custody.

During the course of the traffic stop K9 Castor was deployed on the vehicle and alerted on the odor of narcotics coming from the vehicle.  Zick was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail on the charge of Resisting Law Enforcement in a Vehicle with additional charges coming at a later time pending results from testing of the substance located in Mr. Zicks vehicle.   His cash bond was set at $1,505.

 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
