On Friday, February 28th UNIT Officers assisted by the Indiana State Police SWAT Team, Marshall County Police and Argos Police, executed a search warrant at 411 E. Walnut Street in Argos. The investigation was conducted by the UNIT who developed two suspects living at the home and engaging in illegal narcotics activity. Officers identified the suspects as Jonathan Sanders and Jade Wagers. Miss Wagers was known to be an employee of the Marshall County Jail. With the full cooperation of the Marshall County Sheriff and the Marshall County Prosecutors Office, UNIT officers were able to obtain a search warrant for the home. During the search officers located trace amounts of methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia as well as suspected marijuana and paraphernalia. Both subjects were subsequently lodged at the Marshall County Jail.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
