On Saturday, May 23rd at 10:11 P.M. Officer Stamper with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the area 2111 North Michigan Street.
During the course of the traffic stop the driver identified as 39 year old Michelle Powers of Summit Argo, Illinois was found to be Operating While Intoxicated. The passenger of the vehicle identified as 42 year old, Jereme Damitz of Evergreen Park, Illinois was found to be in Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana.
Both subjects were taken into custody and lodged at the Marshall County Jail.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
