Prep-work continues on bridges the County Highway Department will be replacing in the next couple of years.
Last week, County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters said Bridge 73, the King Road Bridge had the construction, engineering and inspection LPA consulting contract with USI completed. The commissioners signed the contract at their meeting on Monday.
The King Road Bridge replacement cost is estimated to be $1,674,400. This is a federally funded project and will be shared 80/20 with the county. The county’s share is estimated to be $334,880.
