Lady Dragons drop decision at Warsaw
WARSAW – The Argos Lady Dragons were on the road Saturday after a long break, to take on the hosting Warsaw Lady Tigers. In a very physical battle, Warsaw took a 4-1 win.
Warsaw was first to strike putting the ball in the back of the net after a rebound inside the six-yard box in the seventh minute.
Argos would go on to put the ball into the Warsaw box but couldn’t keep the ball on frame.
Warsaw would put the pressure on the Dragons scoring in the 28th and 30th minute bringing the score to 3-0.
The second half would remain a stalemate until the 64th minute when Warsaw would win a scuffle in the box and bring the Lady Tigers up 4-0.
Moments later in the 77th minute, sophomore Emma Dunlap would cross the ball into the box where sophomore Aryanna Allen would place the ball on the far post lifting the Lady Dragons to 4-1.
The bell would ring just minutes later completing the game with 13 shots on goal by the Lady Tigers and three for the Lady Dragons.
The Dragons are 2-3.
