Lady Lancers runner up at Glenn
NORTH LIBERTY – The varsity volleyball team battled all day at the John Glenn Round Robin Classic.
LaVille picked up wins over Culver Community and Oregon-Davis to set up a rematch with the host Falcons in the championship.
LaVille and John Glenn had just met three days prior in a regular-season battle at Dale E. Cox Gymnasium. The Lancers earned a hard-fought 3-2 victory on August 19.
In Saturday’s final, LaVille won the first match before the host Falcons rallied for a 2-1 victory to earn the Classic Title.
In game two with Oregon-Davis LaVille defeated the Bobcats 15-4 in the final set.
Allison Medors was the server when the Lancers scored the final nine points of the set to advance to the finals against the host Falcons.
LaVille moves to 4-1 and will return to Dale E. Cox Gymnasium on Wednesday, August 26 to face Hoosier North Athletic Conference foe Knox. The JV match is set to serve at 6 p.m.
