LIFT Net Intern FlyerEmployers operating in manufacturing and advanced industries may apply to host subsidized interns during Summer 2021, valued at up to $2,500 per intern

 

In conjunction with the Labs for Industry Futures and Transformation (LIFT) Network, the South Bend-Elkhart Regional Partnership has announced the opening of the LIFT Network Internship Program’s Employer Application Portal.

 

The LIFT Network Internship Program subsidizes half of the cost of each intern, up to $2,500 per intern. Employer partners will also receive access to a pool of qualified candidates sourced from regional colleges and universities. The LIFT Network itself will support these employers by hosting centralized professional development, social, and other events for all LIFT Network Interns across the region.

 

Interested employers in Elkhart, Marshall, and St. Joseph Counties may apply to offer up to two internships in manufacturing and advanced industries such as technology, engineering, data science and analytics, supply chain/logistics management, and research and development. Eligible employers may operate in the above sectors, or simply offer internship positions focusing on job activities related to these sectors. Applications must be submitted by Thursday, December 31st. Accepted employers will be notified, on a rolling basis, by February 2021.

 

In accordance with this application launch, the LIFT Network and the South Bend-Elkhart Regional Partnership will be hosting free, virtual, county-based employer interest sessions. Registration is now open for sessions at 12pm on the following dates: Tuesday, December 8th for Elkhart County, Wednesday, December 9th for Marshall County, and Friday, December 11th for St. Joseph County.

 

The LIFT Network Internship Program is supported by organizations such as the University of Notre Dame’s Center for Civic InnovationenFocusIT Sector PartnershipGreater Elkhart Chamber of CommercePlymouth Chamber of Commerce, the South Bend Regional Chamber, and overseen by South Bend – Elkhart Regional Partnership.
