Marshall County Crossroads Stellar logo 2020As part of the Marshall County’s Stellar designation, federal grant funds, administered via the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA), have been pledged to implement an Owner-Occupied Housing Rehabilitation Project. The goal of the project is to provide qualified homeowners grant assistance to complete necessary home improvements. The type of improvements that will be funded, but are not limited to, include: furnace replacement, electrical/plumbing upgrades, roof repairs and ADA upgrades.

In order to qualify, you must be a Marshall County resident and own your home. It must also be considered your primary residence. Additionally, your household income must not exceed 80% of the median household income for the area. The income limits, for Marshall County residents, are as follows:

If your household meets these guidelines, you can access an on-line application form at www.co.marshall.in.us . On the home page, click on the link that reads Helpful Links and follow the Housing Rehabilitation Program icons. You can also obtain a hard copy of the forms beginning October 2nd at the Argos Town Hall, Bourbon Town Hall, Bremen Town Hall, Culver Town Hall, La Paz Town Hall, and the Plymouth City Hall (Clerk’s Office). Additionally, you can call (812) 663-7385 to request that an application be mailed to you.

Eligible applicants MUSTbring the application (completed to the extent possible) to an In-Take Meetingwhere counselors will be available to fully explain the program and help you complete your application. (These meetings are open-house style; meaning you can come anytime during the designated time period.)

To be considered, applicants MUSTattend one of the IN-Take Meeting. The in-take meetings are being held at the following locations (pick whichever is most convenient for you). Each of the application in-take sites will follow health and safety standards as prescribed under the State’s COVID 19 guidelines. Masks will be required.
