On Wednesday, July 8th at approximately 7:49 P.M. Officer Arnold with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of US 30 and Queen Road. The driver of the vehicle identified as 30 year old, Mike Serafin of Revere, Massachusetts was taken into custody for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Controlled Substance. Serafin was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was later released on bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
