On Tuesday, June 30th 35 year old, Duane Longacre of Plymouth was arraigned in Marshall County Superior Court I with Judge Robert O. Bowen. Longacre is Charged with Count I – Murder, Count II- Arson (a Level 4 Felony) and County III- Resisting Law Enforcement. He is currently lodged at the Marshall County Jail without bond.
Marshall County Coroner, John Grolich released the finding of the autopsy of the homicide victim confirmed from Sunday, June 28th Stabbing as 60 year old, Jill McCarty of Plymouth. Coroner Grolich determined the cause of death to be exsanguination a loss of blood as a result of multiple large lacerations to her head, face and neck.
Mr. Longacre currently has an active case in Marshall County Superior I from charges that stem from April 30th, 2020 where he is charged with Obstruction of Justice, Resisting Law Enforcement and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Longacre’s next scheduled hearing will be held on Wednesday, July 15th on his Murder Charges.
Plymouth Police Department is continuing to lead the investigation in this case.
