The Contractor, Walsh and Kelly are keeping on schedule for the North Michigan project.
Phase 1:
The 2 culverts pipes have been completed and berms have been cut back.
Phase 2:
The milling process has start and most likely will be completed by July 30th.
Phase 3: Binder will start on Aug 3rd and should be completed by August 6th.
Phase 4: Surface will start August 7th should be completed by August 12th
Phase 5: 1 day to finish approaches August 13th, then stripping and shoulders. All work should be completed by August 18th or 19th.
This schedule is subject to change due to weather or other situations that may occur.
For the safety of Marshall County residents and contractors crews North Michigan will remain closed. Local traffic only and all emergency vehicles will be able to pass through.
Try to avoid construction area as much as possible until construction is completed.
Please be cautious and mindful while driving up on or through constructions area. As there will be uneven pavement, possible 3” drop offs from pavement to where asphalt has been milled down. Also there will be a lot of equipment and truck working on construction site.
