Lions Club 2020The Plymouth Lions Club received a request from a community member for assistance with building a ramp for a loved one.  In keeping with our motto “We Serve”, Lion Steve Eggleston and Lion Bob Kizer built a ramp as part of our theme, helping others have a better life.  The world has greatly changed in the past eight months.  Nearly every aspect of our daily lives, including how we serve, has been altered.  Yet Lions have responded with urgency and care developing innovative ways to help our community.  We must continue to serve safely.

As in previous years, the Plymouth Lions Club will be distributing dictionaries to third grade students.  We are in contact with the schools to be sure all new protocols are met along with maintaining social distancing and of course following the health and safety guidelines where we live.

The Lions Club will be holding a fundraiser on Saturday, November 14th from 11-3 at Centier Bank-Corner of Jefferson St. and Oak Drive.  It will be a Tenderloin Meal prepared by Ralph Smith.  The meal includes a Tenderloin Sandwich and French Fries and will cost $10.00.  We invite you to stop by and join us, enjoy the meal and help us raise funds for community needs.

In the words of our International President, Dr. Jung-Yul Choi, “I want to remind you that while we are in unprecedented times, Lions have a rich history of serving through all kinds of difficult moments.  We know how to focus on what matters-kindness.  And we know how to unite our diverse strengths so that the world can feel the compassion and support of Lions.  Let’s stand together. Let’s make this another great year of service.”
