MugShot_wayne-miller Jan 2020On Saturday, January 18th at approximately 3:00 A.M. Deputy Bennett with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single vehicle accident in the area of 17th Road and Thorn Road.

Arriving on the scene the deputy located 50 year old, Wayne J. Miller of Plymouth who was found to be under the influence of alcohol and identified as the driver of the vehicle that had ran off the roadway.

A female passenger was also located at the scene and was found to be injured and transported from the scene to St. Joseph Regional Hospital where she was later taken to Memorial Hospital due to the extent of her injuries.

Mr. Miller was transported to the St. Joseph Regional Hospital for a certified test, which later revealed him to be over three times the legal limit of alcohol. He was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail on charges of Operating While Intoxicated Causing Serious Bodily Injury and Operating a Vehicle with a BAC of .15% or more with a bond of $1,505. He was released that day after posting bond.
