On Friday, November 13th at 9:34 P.M. Deputy Wozniak with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department located a male subject that had an active felony warrant out of Chicago, Illinois.
The officer made contact with the male subject identified as 26 year old Devin Michael Sanchez of Plymouth at the Speedway Gas Station in Lapaz was taken into custody.
While Sanchez was being taken into custody marijuana wax was located. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on the charge of Possession of Marijuana with bond set at $255 and held on No Bond for the active warrant out of Chicago, Illinois.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
