face mask imageStudents returning to in-person instruction on August 12th at the Plymouth Schools will likely have to wear masks for longer periods of time than originally expected. Due to recent updates from the Marshall County Health Department, depending on the circumstances, students may have to wear a mask throughout the day. Students will be required to have a face mask on them at all times. Masks will be made available for students who do not have a face mask.
On July 17th, Superintendent Andy Hartley posted the following: “Our experiences with COVID-19 continue to teach us that everything is fluid. Please understand that any aspect of these plans may change.”
Earlier stipulations outlined in the reopening plan already included requirements for students to wear masks on buses, entering and leaving the building, passing periods or in circumstances where social distancing could not be maintained.
Parents/guardians are being given the option of virtual learning; however, registration for that instruction must be completed by 3:00 P.M. on July 24th. The commitment to access the virtual instruction is for a quarter bases. According to the registration form, students will be assigned to a teachers or teachers and a class schedule and they will be expected to complete assignments on time.
