Plymouth soccer stays unbeaten
CULVER — The Plymouth boys soccer team went 9-0-1 on the season with a 2-1 win against Culver Military Academy and went top of the Northern Lakes Conference all in the same night.
This was a very frustrating game for the Rockies who had 25 shots on goal but were denied most of the night by a superb CMA goalkeeper. The Rockies shelled and peppered the CMA google all night and were denied in the first half as the score remained 0-0.
The Rockies poured it on in the second half and opened the scoring through Selvin Pagoada. A beautiful assist and through pass by Jose Rosas opened up the CMA defense and Pagoada fired it home.
It would remain 1-0 until 14 minutes to the end when CMA would find an opening and equalize.
However the Rockies took back the lead just 45 seconds later as Jose Rosas scored off an assist from Alex Baca.
The Rockies would then see the contest out and would extend their unbeaten record.
The #3 state-ranked Rockies moved to 9 wins, 0 losses, and 1 tie on the season.
Up next for the Rockies is an NLC opponent the Mishawaka Cavemen in Mishawaka on Thursday.
