Argos_Logo_2018Effective Tuesday, March 17, in-person payment for utility accounts will not be accepted at the payment windows at the town building located at 201 W. Walnut Street. Residents are encouraged to set up automatic withdrawal payments by emailing Lisa Mullaney at clerk@townofargos.com to receive an application. Make payments online by going to www.townofargos.com – click “Online Utility Payment” you will go to the PSN website to register and make a payment. Residents can also mail payments to 201 W. Walnut Street, Argos, IN 46501 or utilize the drive-up windows on the side of the clerk/treasurer’s office. If you need to make special arrangements, or need assistance with any of these processes, please contact the clerk/treasurer’s office at 574-892-5717 in advance.

Meetings Cancelled

The Clerk’s Office will continue to be open at this time, but we ask that the public use phone or email communications as much as possible to conduct town business. After the Town Council Meeting at 7:30 pm on March 18, 2020, ALL Council, Planning Commission, Redevelopment Commission, BZA, Police Commission, and Park Board meetings will be cancelled (unless an emergency session is required). Recodings of the Council meetings will be available within 48 hours on RTC4. We will continue to communicate via our social media page (Facebook), Reach Alert, and Town web page. All non-essential town and park events scheduled through April 30th are cancelled at this time. Town officials will continue to work with other community health stakeholders in our area to determine best policies for the safety of our community over the coming days and weeks and we will review and update policies as necessary.

Stay Safe

We encourage all residents to stay safe and follow the guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/summary.html) and the Indiana State Department of Health (https://www.in.gov/isdh/28470.htm). We enoucrage you to avoid gathers of more than 10 people. If you exhibit the symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath), you should immediately contact your medical provider for further instructions. You can also contact the Marshall County Healthy Department. Your medical provider will determine if you need to be tested and discuss protocol with you.
