quentin flaggquentin flaggQuentin Flagg 7-31-19Grand Knight Quentin Flagg of the Knights of Columbus has a way to perk you back up. After I got the call that Blueberry was cancelled this idea just came to me. I want to bring something to the whole community with a fundraiser for the Knights along with fundraisers for others. “The Idea” is quite interesting and I’m asking for your help. The Knights are wanting to put 4 or 5 food vendors & non for profit organizations to sell their food items in the front parking lot, with a craft/rummage sale inside the Knights of Columbus Hall.
With all the open space that we have at the Knights we will be able to social distance, set up tables outside to eat, and still have places to park. The set up would be with Food Vendors and the non for profit organizations to set up outside in designated areas that will be marked. The craft/rummage sale would be inside with each booth having 3 tables to sell their goods with spacing in between each booth.
As a fundraiser for the Knights there is a fee to set up your booth. It’s a chance to have a smaller festival, a taste of great food we all love, and a chance for many organizations in our community to be able to come together to raise money from a very unique time in all our lives. It’s a win for everyone. The Optimist Club have already committed to their breakfast on Saturday & Sunday morning from 9-11 a.m. Signed up so far: Mary Lee’s Inc. Chocolate shop with her well known Blueberry Donuts, a weight lifting competition, a tattoo artist set up in the small Columbus Room Hall, St. Michael’s Church with their blueberry muffins & ice cream, and Boy Scout Troop 251 selling popcorn.
The Knights of Columbus will not be having rides or festival games. If you, your church, or organization is interested and would like more information please contact Quentin Flagg at 574-952-0307. We are also asking for any sponsorship to help with some cost and possibly get a couple of entertainment groups. You must call and sign documentation for a space. The dates for this will be Labor Day Weekend, Saturday and Sunday, September 5th & 6th with set up on Friday, September 4th. Let’s make this possible and bring back a little to such a great community. The Plymouth Knights Motto, “Helping us to help you.”
