Rockies roll over EM
ELKHART – The Plymouth Rockies scored a 62-6 victory over NLC opponent Elkhart Memorial Tuesday night. Wrestling begin at the 138 pound weight class with Jordan Howard securing a pin in the second period. Tyler Richey continued the attack by getting a pin in the second period as well. Next up was sophomore Bradey Pittman, who won by a pin giving the Rockies an 18-0 lead. At 160 pounds, Memorial’s Kayden Georing, ranked No. 16 in the state, pinned Zach Truitt for the only team points for the Chargers. Graham Calhoun won by a tech fall, 23-8. This runs Calhoun’s record to 28-0 on the season. Following Calhoun was Ethan Pike with a five-second take down and then pinning his opponent in the second period. Reggie Vazquez moved up from the 220-pound weight class to wrestle the heavyweight class and picked up an 8-3 decision. Plymouth finished the night with Dominic Smith pinning his opponent in the first period.
