State Senator Ryan Mishler (R-Bremen), Chair of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, made the following statement Thursday regarding Governor Eric Holcomb’s signing of House Enrolled Act 1007:
“This legislation is a fiscally sound plan that will save Hoosier taxpayers $135 million in the long run by avoiding future interest payments and providing immediate savings in administrative costs to bond. Through its passage, Indiana will eliminate almost $300 million in state debt, continuing our state’s strong history of good fiscal management.”
