The Indiana Department of Health Sunday announced that 6,678 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 381,617 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.

corona virus updateOn Sunday Marshall County reported 73 new positive cases of the coronavirus.  There were 144 new individuals tested.  There were no new deaths reported.  Our total sits at 52. The 7-day positivity rate of all tested is 6.4% and the 7-day positivity rate for unique individuals is 34.1%.

A total of 5,944 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 34 from the previous day. Another 298 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.

To date, 2,309,879 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 2,292,178 on Saturday. A total of 4,577,211 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26.
