Culver Town Council President Ginny Munroe announced today that several town policies enacted in response to COVID-19 will be extended along with the Governor’s Stay at Home Order, currently extended to May 1. Policies extended as a result of the stay at home order include:
• In-person payment for utility accounts will not be accepted at town hall. Residents are encouraged to set up automatic withdrawal payments by emailing Karen Heim at kheim@townofculver.org, making a one-time payment online at www.paygov.us , by mail to 200 E Washington Street, or by using the utilities drop box, located in the police lobby. Golf cart registrations will be processed in the same manner, by email, mail, or drop off in the utilities drop box in the police lobby.
• Public meetings of the Town Council and appointed bodies will continue as scheduled at this time and will be held online, open to the public using Microsoft Teams. Meeting links and call in information will be posted at the top of each agenda, made available through town, gown, and lake listserv, or available on request to town hall.
• All non-essential town and park events scheduled through May 3rd are cancelled at this time. Town officials will continue to work with other community health stakeholders in our area to determine best policies for the safety of our community over the coming days and weeks and will review and update policies as necessary.
• The public beach, playground equipment, and pavilions in Culver Park will remain closed.
• Visitors to Culver from other areas should continue to follow federal travel advisories and adhere to a 14-day self-quarantine if they have been in an area with documented cases of community spread.
We encourage all residents to stay safe and follow the guidelines set forth by the Center for Disease Control (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/summary.html) and the Indiana State Department of Health (https://coronavirus.in.gov/). If you exhibit the symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, difficulty breathing or shortness of breath), you should immediately contact your medical provider for further instructions.
