arrested_handcuffsPlymouth Police Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a report of theft in progress early Tuesday morning, January 7th.

Officers arrived on scene about 3:45 and made contact with 41 year old Matthew Lemarr of North Judson and 43 Tracy Napierkowski of Knox .

Officer Emenhiser discovered that Matthew Lemarr had concealed merchandise stuffed inside his clothing and Tracy Napierkowski had given police a false name and had an active warrant through Pulaski County. The pair were transported to the Marshall County Jail for those crimes.

While at the jail it was discovered that both had concealed illegal drugs in their bodies. Napierkowski later destroyed evidence while attempting to recover the drugs.

Matthew Lemarr was charged with Theft and Trafficking and Tracy Napierkowski was charged with false informing, trafficking, and obstruction of justice.  They were both held on $1,500 cash bond. 

 

 

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
