Walorski_officialU.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski (R-Ind.)applauded the announcement of $225 million in funding to help rural health clinics (RHCs) nationwide expand COVID-19 testing capabilities. Indiana will receive $3.9 million for 79 rural health clinics, including in Fulton, Marshall, Pulaski, Starke, and Wabash Counties.
“The coronavirus crisis knows no geographic lines, and rural communities are especially vulnerable during public health emergencies,” Congresswoman Walorski said. “That’s why Congress passed legislation to provide support where it is needed most – including resources for rural health clinics, which play a critical role in providing affordable, quality care to Hoosiers in underserved areas. I look forward to seeing these clinics expand their COVID-19 testing capacity so we can keep Hoosiers healthy, safely reopen our economy, and continue working together to defeat this invisible enemy.”
