The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch which will go into effect beginning on Tuesday evening (February 25) and continues through Wednesday night. Heavy snow is possible with snow accumulation in excess of 6 inches in some areas possible.
Impacts from the storm will create snow covered roads that will lead to hazardous driving conditions Tuesday through Wednesday night. Hazardous driving conditions could lead to an increase in the number of slide offs and accidents.
As a way to prepare for the storm, slow down and allow yourself extra time to reach your destination. Increase your following distance to give yourself plenty of room to take evasive actions if needed.
