Chargers remain perfect; North MCCAA opening victory
Centreville, MI – Ancilla College used a big second half to blow the game open as they beat Glen Oaks 101-77 Friday night in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association opener for both clubs. Jakylen Thomas scored 23 points to lead the Chargers (3-0, 1-0), with Marco Beverly adding 15 and Caleb Brown 13. Brock Cosey scored 12 points for Ancilla, while Cortney Shorter and Rico Swanson, Jr. added 10 each. Brown had a team-high 9 rebounds and Swanson, Jr. handed out eight assists.
Ancilla will be in action again on Tuesday night when they host Grand Rapids to the LifePlex for a 7:30 p.m. start. The game will be live streamed with a link available on the Ancilla Charger website.
