Drug ArrestsOn Saturday, April 10th at approximately 10:30 at night Officer Bennet with the Marshall County Sheriff Department conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in the area of US 30 and Plymouth-Goshen Trail.

MugShot_arista butcher 4-10-21The driver was identified as 28-year-old Arista Butcher of Warsaw and the passenger was identified as 35-year-old Ashley Vo of Syracuse.

During the traffic stop suspected methamphetamine, heroin, and marijuana were located in the vehicle along with drug paraphernalia and syringes.  Butcher and Vo were transported to the Marshall County Jail and both were booked for Possession of Cocaine or a Narcotic Drug, Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.  Both were held on $1,500 cash bonds.

 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
