Culver Tool logoWade Berger from CTE Solutions in Plymouth announced to employees Monday that the company has been acquired by Mediliant, a Switzerland based contract manufacturer of extremity and trauma implants.

In a release to employees Burger said, “With greater financial resources and capabilities supporting us, we will be able to grow faster and provide a higher level of service and product offerings to our customers. Further, this growth should provide more opportunities to our employees.”

While there will be some minor changes at the top of the organization, day to day operations at the Plymouth facility should be very similar. Wade Berger will be transitioning to President of the Spine group for Mediliant Group where his focus will be on customer relationships and sales. Lisa Berger will continue her role in employee relations. Mark Morris will become President of CTE Solutions. Both Wade Berger and Mark Morris are investing in Mediliant Group and will be on the group’s board of directors.

In August of 2020, Mediliant purchased MDI, a contract manufacturer of extremity and trauma medical devices, located in Lancaster, PA. Mediliant’s acquisition of both MDI and CTE Solutions is the initial step in forming a leading orthopedic contract manufacturing group whose members share a similar corporate culture, entrepreneurial spirit and a customer-centered approach to business. Burger said, “This joint venture is going to allow us to continue to grow.”

As a group, the company will be focused on implants for spine, extremities and trauma.  They will have access to technology and capabilities currently not available in Plymouth such as sterile packaging.  They will also be able to share resources to help support their customers’ product launches.
