arrested_handcuffsOn Thursday, March 25th at 8:15 P.M. Officer Arnold with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on West Gate Avenue.

During the traffic stop the driver gave false information when identifying himself.

The driver was eventually identified as 57 year old Phillip A. Dalton of LaPorte.

Mr. Dalton was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on the charge of False Informing with bond set at $505. He was released the same day after posting bond and received a Marshall County Superior II court date of April 20th.

 

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
