NorthWood hits past LaVille
LAKEVILLE — The LaVille varsity softball team played host to Northern Lakes Conference foe NorthWood.
LaVille battled against the Class 3A Panthers before falling, 17-6.
Six different Lancer Softball players collected hits. Sydney Coblentz had a single, Chloe Herbster a single, Allison Medors a double, Cambree Howe a double, Ayva Barger a single, and Kylie Gorka a double as the LaVille offense rallied several times to cut the NorthWood lead to four late in the game.
Quincy Blodgett and Howe pitched for LaVille. Blodgett had five strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
LaVille will return to the diamond Thursday, April 15 at Culver Academy.
