DUNLAP – Plymouth’s girls swim team continued their recent bests adding more at the NLC meet at Concord over the weekend.
Plymouth scored 141 points and earned a 6th place finish in the conference.
Event by event results:
200 medley: 2:03.59, 6th place
The team of Lucy Keirn, Rachel Jacobs, Marley Houin, and Summer South dropped 6 seconds from their season-best time they had just 2 days prior.
200 Free:
Raven Gritton started the individual performances moving up 1 spot from prelims and swimming a lifetime best time of 2:20.65.
200 IM:
Lucy Keirn represented Plymouth well by finishing 15th with a time of 2:47.10.
50 Free:
Summer South and Aumrie Weiss both scored for Plymouth in the consolation heat. Summer finished 14th with a lifetime best time of 27.47 and Aumrie finished 16th at 28.32.
Diving:
Maggie Bradway, Desi Esquivel, and Madi Hauptmann all competed in the Diving finals for NLC’s on Friday Night. Maggie claimed 12th by finishing with a score of 235.65. Madi followed with 216.70 and a 14th place finish. Desi scored in the competition by earning 15th place and a score of 190.95.
100 fly:
Marley Houin finished 8th with the top Plymouth finish on the weekend swimming a 1:07.88 and securing 10 points. Kyleigh Kara also scored for Plymouth finishing in 16th with a time of 1:19.93.
100 free:
Summer South and Aumrie Weiss took to the sprints again finishing in 12th and 14th respectively. Summer swam a 1:01.73 and Aumrie finished with a lifetime best time at 1:02.57.
500 free:
Raven Gritton had a lifetime best time in her favorite event, swimming a 6:14.47 to finish in 11th place.
200 free relay:
Plymouth had another impressive performance in the 200 free relay with all four athletes showing some season-best splits to swim a 1:51.32. Aumrie Weiss, Raven Gritton, Summer South, and Marley Houin earned a 6th place finish in the event.
100 backstroke:
Lucy Keirn finished 2nd in her heat and 10th overall with an impressive lifetime best time of 1:08.55.
100 breaststroke:
Marley Houin finished her day with another best time getting 2nd in her heat and 10th overall with a 1:16.06. Rachel Jacobs also swam in the event dropping five seconds to get 16th with a season-best time of 1:24.24.
400 free relay:
The team of Aumrie Weiss, Kieran Gritton, Rachel Jacobs, and Raven Gritton dropped 13 seconds to finish in 5th with a time of 4:22.01.
Marley Houin was named to the All Conference Honorable Mention team. The sophomore earned the most individual points at the meet for Plymouth and contributed to two relay best times. She was the lone Pilgrim to qualify for the top eight finals.
Plymouth girls will reenter the pool again Thursday to face off against Culver Academies in the final boys and girls home meet of the season at Bardwell Aquatics Center. The competition is set to begin at 5:30 p.m.
