On Thursday, February 25th at approximately 10:29 P.M. Officer Arnold with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the area of North Michigan Street and US 30.
During the course of the traffic stop, investigation 38-year-old Christopher Vanduyne of Plymouth was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on the charge of Operating While Intoxicated with a bond set at $1,505.
He was released the next day after posting bond and received a Marshall County Superior II Court date of March 30th.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
