Arrested_handcuffOn Saturday, April 3rd at 4:16 P.M. Officer Richey with the Plymouth Police Department was dispatched to a report of someone breaking into an apartment at 881 Lincolnway East.

While Officer Richey was in route he was further advised by dispatch that a window had been broken out and that the subjects were in a physical altercation at the time.

Arriving at the location and conducting an investigation 20 year old Isaiah M. Batta was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on the charges of Battery Resulting in Bodily Injury and Criminal Mischief with bond set at $505.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
