Covid 19 update_1The Indiana Department of Health announced Wednesday that 2,942 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 through testing at state and private laboratories. That brings to 598,313 the number of Indiana residents now known to have had the novel coronavirus following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.

Marshall County reported 23 new individuals tested positive for Covid-19 bringing us to 4977 to date. There were no new deaths reported as we have remained at 84 Covid-19 related deaths for a week. The Indianan Department of Health reported that 61 new individuals were tested for Covid-19. The 7-Day Positivity- All Tests scored 8.3 % with the 7-Day Positivity of Unique Individuals scoring 19.8%.

A total of 9,154 Hoosiers are confirmed to have died from COVID-19, an increase of 62 from the previous day. Another 375 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.

To date, 2,855,991 unique individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 2,847,632 on Tuesday. A total of 6,545,320 tests, including repeat tests for unique individuals, have been reported to the state Department of Health since Feb. 26, 2020.
