Lincoln girls track splits with Wawasee

The Lincoln Jr. High track team ran their first meet last night against Wawasee.  The 7th grade girls won by a score of 55 to 54. Kacee Peters and Mercedes Bastardo were both double first place winners.  Peters placed first in the 100m hurdles and high jump, she also took 2nd in the 200m hurdles.  Bastardo placed first in the 100m and 200m dash. Others placing for Lincoln: Madison Smith: 1st­ Long Jump, 2nd­ 100m and 400m Cece Robinson: 1st­ Shot Put and 2nd­ Discus Kaitlyn Carothers: 1st­ 800m and 2nd­ 1600m Halee Reichard: 2nd­ Long Jump and 3rd­ High Jump Michele Heckaman: 3rd­ Shot Put The 8th grade girls lost by a score of 68 to 41.  Kenzie Quissell was a double first place winner in High Jump and the 4×100 relay.  She also took second in the 400m dash. Others placing for Lincoln: Josie Koontz: 1st­ Long Jump Brittany Culp: 1st­ Shot Put, 2nd­ Discus Ally Dolan: 1st­ 4×100 relay, 2nd­ 100m hurdles and 100m, 3rd­ 200m Rachael Dodson: 1st­ 4×100 relay Shayla Noble: 1st­ 4×100 relay Lexi Ramirez: 2nd­ 1600m and 800m Kristen Brown: 3rd­ 1600m and 800m The next Lincoln Jr. High track meet is away on Wednesday, April 23 against Rochester, starting at 4:30 PM.
