		<description><![CDATA[   02/23/12 Tuesday evening about 6:45 Plymouth Police Officer Bridget Hite received information that a subject that had been previously kicked-out of Wal-Mart was in the store. Officer Hite responded and observed 48 year old Wendy Andrews of Culver in the Plymouth Wal-Mart after she had been served a no-trespass order.  Andrews was transported to the Marshall County Jail and incarcerated for Trespass.  Her bond was set at $1,500 and she is to appear in Marshall Superior Court II on March 27th at 8:30 a.m.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[  02/23/12 Marshall County Coroner Bill Cleavenger released preliminary toxicology results on the body of Louis J, Cady of Nappanee who was killed early last Thursday morning when his truck left Beech Road south of 7th. Road in Bourbon, rolled over and landed upside down in a water filled ditch. Cleavenger said all tests were negative for alcohol and drugs and preliminary autopsy reports indicate Cady drowned.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[    02/23/12 Indiana now has a total of 15 confirmed cases of measles, state health officials announced today.  The most recently confirmed case does not pose an increased risk of spreading the disease to others, however, because the individual has been in self-isolation since they themselves were exposed. “Through our investigation, we were made aware that this individual was exposed and may be at high risk for developing the disease,” said State Health Commissioner Gregory Larkin, M.D. “This is good news, because since we knew about the exposure and risk, this person was able to stay home and avoid exposing anyone else while infectious.” This is the second outbreak of measles Indiana has experienced in less than a year. Measles is rare in the United States due to the widespread use of the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella vaccine. “In general,  when we experience measles in the United States, it’s a result of an unvaccinated U.S. resident traveling abroad or a foreign visitor from a part of the world where measles is endemic,” said State Health Commissioner Gregory Larkin, M.D. “Measles can and does happen in the U.S., but we can safely and easily protect ourselves by becoming vaccinated.” The Indiana [...]]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[      02/22/12 Another successful Mardi Gras Celebration has come and gone at Miller&#8217;s Senior Living Community in Plymouth.  Residents and staff look forward to the festivity all year long. Dietary staff prepared a delicious Cajun buffet that was open to the community.  The menu consisted of Mardi Gras Meatballs, Bayou Slaw, Catfish, Blazin&#8217; Red Fish, Greens and Beets, Cheesy Creole Grits, King Cupcakes, Pecan Pralines and Hurricane Punch. Mardi Gras Jesters Annette and Jennifer were on hand to add to the party atmosphere. They led the staff in a parade through the Oak Hill Café to the tune of “Bill Bailey Won’t You Please Come Home”. They also helped residents and guests with their Mardi Gras Trivia Quiz. Winners of the quiz were:  Cleta Walker, Helen Hollett, Mae Mikesell and Katie Kubley. The highlight of the evening, as always was the crowning of the 2012 Mardi Gras King and Queen.  After the jesters paraded the crowns throughout the crowd; Marketing Director Anna Corbett announced the King and Queen.  Bill Whitesell was named King and the Queen was Annie Minker.  Campus Administrator Erin Ginter crowned the King and Queen as Corbett led them in their 2012 Coronation Oath. 		<description><![CDATA[   02/22/12 Tuesday morning the Indiana State Police responded to a personal injury crash that occurred around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of US 31 and US 6 in La Paz.  The crash sent one man to the hospital by helicopter.      Preliminary police reports indicate that the driver of an east bound Ford pickup truck, Leroy Piper, 82, of Valparaiso, drove through a red light at the intersection on US 6 and US 31, and into the path of a semi tractor.  The Volvo semi tractor was being driven by John Drummond, 60, of Mishawaka.  According to witnesses Drummond was traveling west on US 6 attempting to turn south on a green arrow onto US 31 when Piper ran a red light and struck the passenger’s side of Drummond’s semi.     Piper had to be extricated from his vehicle by rescue personnel before he was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for his injuries.  Piper sustained lacerations to his head and arms but was last listed in stable condition.   LaPaz-North Township Fire Captain Matt Haskins said Piper was alert, conscious and talking when he was transported to the helicopter.  Drummond was not injured in the crash.      &#8220;There [...]]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[  02/22/12 Plymouth Police, Fire and EMS responded to the intersection of West Jefferson Street and Oak Drive at 11:15 a.m. Monday for a personal injury accident.   Officer Mark Owen with the Plymouth Police Department investigated the crash which ended up having three injured.    According to the officer’s report, Phillip Boyd of Marion was west bound on Jefferson Street on his way to Ancilla with two other students.  His SUV collided with a passenger car driven by Lorraine Hoke who was north bound on Oak Drive.      Boyd and the two passengers in his vehicle were transported to Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth for non-life-threatening injuries.  Mrs. Hoke was not injured.    Officer Owen’s report did not indicate who was at fault.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[     02/22/12  On Friday, February 17th about 6:00am, Sergeant Joe Deisch of the Plymouth Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Dora Lane for a domestic fight. An investigation led to the arrest of  Brent A. Clemons 40, of Plymouth for a domestic disturbance.  Mr. Clemons was transported to the Marshall County Jail. On Saturday, February 18th at 7:13pm, Plymouth Police officers were dispatched to the 2,000 block of Miller Drive in reference to a male subject that was passed out in a parked car.  Upon arrival, Gary A. Klase 45, of Bremen was found to be intoxicated and in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Officer Shanna Gilmer transported Klase to the Marshall County Jail and booked him for the charges and gave him a $1000.00 cash bond. On Sunday, February 19th at 2:38am, Corporal Tim Taberski of the Plymouth P. D. conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Liberty Street and LaPorte Street.  It was discovered that Ralph L. Davis Jr. 51, of Plymouth was driving on a suspended license and also had an active warrant through LaPorte County.  Mr. Davis was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked in for driving while [...]]]></description>
