03/30/11 The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will close 1st Road between Maple and Lilac roads beginning Monday, April 4 as work progresses on the new U.S. 31 project.
During the closure, traffic will be directed along a two-mile detour. Eastbound traffic will be directed south on Maple Road, east on 1B Road and north on Linden Road, back to 1st Road. Westbound traffic will be detoured south on Linden Road, west on 1B Road and north on Maple Road, back to 1st Road.
The work is expected to be completed by mid-May; however, the schedule is subject to change in the event of inclement weather.
