Kosciusko Pursuit Ends in Marshall County with Arrest

  01/24/13 A Warsaw man was arrested Tuesday morning after he led state police on a pursuit in a stolen pickup.  The pursuit began near the intersection of SR 19 and CR 100 South in Kosciusko County and ended a few minutes later near the intersection of Apple Road and 19th Road in Marshall County.

The vehicle pursuit turned into a foot pursuit when the subject crashed the truck and took off on foot.  Officers with Marshall County, Kosciusko County, Warsaw, and the Mentone Police Departments assisted in the search for the subject and setting up a perimeter.  The man, who was identified as Aaron K. Brubaker, 29, of Warsaw, was found minutes later by police hiding in a shed.

Brubaker was charged with felony resisting law enforcement by state police.  He also faces an auto theft charge from Warsaw Police Department and a theft charge from a Warsaw liquor store.  The red 2001 Dodge pickup that Brubaker was driving was reported stolen to Warsaw authorities on Tuesday.

Brubaker is currently being held on bond in the Kosciusko County Jail.
