12/23/11 On Tuesday, December 20th at 3:48 p.m. Patrolman Jeff Snyder wth the Marshall County Police Department investigated an accident at the intersection of Sycamore Road and State Road 17.
The news release states that a 2001 Red Chevy Camaro driven by 24 year old James E. Fletcher II of Culver was traveling east on S.R. 17 approaching the curve. The second vehicle was a 2005 Chevy Malibu driven by David J. Howell 56, of Plymouth who was westbound.
As the Camaro was traveling east it crossed the center line into the westbound lane it collided into the Chevy Malibu. Fletcher states that his tires began to slide on the wet pavement, which caused him to enter the west bound lane.
Howell was transported to Plymouth Hospital for lacerations to his face and Fletcher was transported for left leg pain.
