Two Students Nominated for All-USA/Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team

October 28, 2013

10/29/13 Amanda Amstutz, Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) member, and Joe McCrammer, PTK President are Ancilla College’s 2013-2014 nominees to the All-USA/Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team. Phi Theta Kappa is a two-year college national honor society.

They were chosen among Ancilla College students by PTK Advisors Cynthia Cawthon, Instructor of English, and Chelsea Chalk, Assistant Professor of Communication.  Amstutz and McCrammer will be placed in competition for almost $350,000 available in national scholarship opportunities.

“We are very proud of Joe and Amanda’s accomplishments at Ancilla. They are excellent students and are extremely active on campus. Only two students are nominated on each campus for this award, so this is a great honor for them to be chosen,” said advisor Cynthia Cawthon.

In addition, other scholarship opportunities and chances for recognition are available through the All-State Academic Team program.  Nominees will attend a state-wide banquet this spring.

“I am thankful that I was nominated for the PTK All Academic Team, I am honored,” McCrammer said about his nomination.

Ancilla College (www.ancilla.edu) is a Catholic, liberal arts, Associate’s Degree college in Donaldson, sponsored by the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ.
