Plymouth Teen Arrested for Multiple Charges

   06/27/12 On Wednesday, June 20th the Plymouth Police Department received a report from a victim indicating that a Dell laptop computer and a wallet containing credit cards and gift cards were taken from a vehicle parked in the Plymouth High School parking lot.

Police were able to determine that one of the credit cards had been used shortly after it had been stolen at three businesses in Plymouth.  Video evidence revealed that Andrew Benson had used the cards at the businesses and forged the signatures during the purchases.

Plymouth Detective Leo Mangus located 19 year old Andrew Benson on Monday, June 25th outside a mobile home located at 2401 North Michigan Street in Plymouth.  During questioning, Mr. Benson fled and was apprehended a short time later.  The stolen laptop computer was located in his truck.

Andrew Benson was booked into the Marshall County Jail for Theft, Credit Card Fraud, Forgery, and Resisting Law Enforcement.  His bond was set at $20,000 cash.
