Optimist Essay contest winner Ashley Combs

March 27, 2013

03/28/13 The Plymouth Optimist Club was honored to have Ashley Combs at their March 19th meeting to read her winning Essay “How Can I Help my Friends Realize Their Value.”  After reading her essay, she was presented a $100 check from the Essay Chair Nickie Weidner. Ashley’s essay will now be judged at the District level for a chance at winning a $2,500 scholarship.

If you are going to be in high school next year, please plan on entering your essay in the Optimist International contest. We will announce it at the high school, and have it posted on the WTCA website. We will be able to announce the topic at that time.
