Counterfeit $100s Passed in Plymouth

January 4, 2011

01/05/10  The Plymouth Police Department recently released information of counterfeit  bills being passed.

Two $100 bills were presented for payment and passed in local businesses in Plymouth in the past week.   At least one of the $100 bills was very high quality.  Officer John West said the money was printed on a $5.00 bill that had been chemically bleached.

Since the counterfeit bill was printed on U.S. currency paper the fake $100 bill will pass the pen test.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Plymouth Police Department. (574-936-2126)
