Marcelino “Boo” Lindner is a 5 year old kindergarten student at Webster Elementary and was diagnosed with Desmoid Fibromatosis which is a rare cancer that affects small children with tumors that are 100% cancer. He was sent to Riley for chemo and after 7 weeks of chemo therapy the doctors realized the lump was taking over his airways and the chemo had to be stopped. The chemo was actually feeding the tumor and causing it to grow at a more rapid rate. On October 4, Boo underwent surgery to have a breathing tube put in place as well as a feeding tube. Currently he is at Bloomington for daily radiation treatment.
