“Bow Wow Friends” Near Goal, will Fundraise at Farmers’ Market Saturday

July 26, 2012

07/27/12 The Plymouth Dog Park committee will have a booth at the Plymouth Farmer’s Market on Saturday, July 28. To help raise the funds to build a dog park in Centennial Park, the group plans to sell handmade greeting cards, handmade jewelry, donated books, hand-painted gourds, dog toys, and dog treats. Donations will also be accepted.

The “Bow Wow Friends” volunteer group is close to their initial fundraising goal that will pay for a fence and basic amenities, organizers say, and they plan to have enough funds to start building the dog park soon after Labor Day. The Plymouth Dog Park will be located in Centennial Park just east of the tennis courts and Freyman Shelter. It will include a separate section for small dogs.

More information about the dog park efforts can be found at the “Plymouth (Indiana) Dog Park” Facebook page. Those wishing to send donations should contact Plymouth Park Superintendent Michael Hite at 936-2876 or email parks@plymouthin.com.
