The Plymouth Chapter of Business Professional of American left with 24 Plymouth High School students to compete at the State Leadership Conference in Indianapolis on March 15 and returned on March 17th.
Students not only competed in various events, but also attend seminars and listened to many professionals on how to prepare for the workforce.
Those placing at State included: Garrett Garver 6th place in Financial Math and Analysis and 6th place in Human Research Management. Katie Hickman was 4th place in Advanced Interview Skills and Plymouth’s Web Design Team made up of Ulises Hernandez, Calvin Hopple and Kameron Ray placed 4th. Elise Patrick finished the state tournament with a 3rd place win in Management Marketing Human Resources Concepts.
PHS national qualifiers and State Champions were Garrett Garver in Economic Research Project and Curtis Smith for Extemporaneous Speech.
Garrett and Curtis will now begin to try to collect donations to be able to make the trip to the National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California on May 6th through the 10th.
