Goorhouse Arrested on Warrant

  02/27/14  On Tuesday, February 25th at 10:59 A.M. Plymouth Police Officer Derek Workman responded to 322 West Jefferson Street in reference to warrant service.  Arriving at the location, Officer Workman located and arrested 25 year old Brittany L. Goorhouse of Plymouth for the active warrant through Marshall County for Failure to Appear for Civil Contempt. She was transported and lodged in the Marshall County Jail and held on a $500 cash bond. Goorhouse was later released at 3:50 P.M. that day after posting bond and received a Superior Court II date of March 3rd for her initial hearing.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
